The trend of sequels started off with Allu Arjun’s ‘Arya’ followed by Jagapathi Babu’s ‘Gaayam’. According to reliable sources, a script prepared by Praveen (Souls fame) for the sequel to ‘Gaayam’ impressed Ram Gopal Verma to such an extent that he gave a green signal to Praveen to go ahead with the project. Jagapathi Babu who played the lead role in the original version ‘Gaayam’ directed by Ram Gopal Verma, will also play the lead man in the sequel.
