Mega Fans attack Hero Rajasekhar
Popular actor Dr. Rajasekhar today came under the unruly attack of Chiranjeevi's fans at Punjagutta, Hyderabad. The incident took place in the early hours of Monday. The actor fled in his car, giving a slip to the crowd, even as they pelted stones at the vehicle, damaging and inflicting injuries on the actor's shoulder and his daughter's back. Jeevita and another daughter could escape from the attack unhurt. The family was on their way to home arriving from Secunderabad raiway station, after worshipping at a temple near Bhimavaram, East Godavari district last evening. The fans also tried to pin down the artiste as they launched a hunt for him at Guntur railway station. These developments came as Rajasekhar remarked at Bhimavaram that Chiranjeevi had no experience as a politician and that he would not join his party, in case of it being floated.

Rajasekhar couple condemns attack
Rajasekhar lashed out at Chiranjeevi on Monday morning at Apollo hospitals, here. A police case was also registered in this regard. Rajasekhar said: "This is a democratic nation. Everybody has his own political rights. When I said Chiranjeevi was not mature as politician, it was my personal opinion. That too I said after the reporters started nailing for my answer. In what way he is great?" He also claimed that his fans had resorted to brutal attack and violence against people who express their views freely.

Chiranjeevi's apology
Chiranjeevi tendered unconditional apology to Rajasekhar couple and consoled them. Allu Arvind accompanied Chiranjeevi. The megastar spoke to the media, saying: "There is nothing wrong on the part of Rajasekhar. He just expressed his individual opinion that I am not politically experienced. My fans have surely over reacted to the situation out of their unbound love for me. I condemn this violent attitude. Fans' love should turn into violence." Chiranjeevi appealed to fans to maintain discipline and never do such unruly attacks.

Couple seeks protection
Rajasekhar couple reacted to the issue jointly in the wake of Chiru's apology. "We didn't want any apology from Chiranjeevi. He is a great actor. But, his fans have taken to the path of violence." A stern looking Jeevita said: "Rajasekhar has got every right to make his individual comments. In case of Chiranjeevi floating a starts a political party, he can't lead alone. It requires participation of several others." Rajasekhar said that he would approach the chief minister Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy for protection to his family. The Punjagutta police have registered cases against Chiranjeevi fans, primarily based on the video footage being telecast today.
