Chiranjeevi’s father passes away

K.Venkat Rao, father of actors Chiranjeevi,Nagababu and Pawn Kalyan, passed away in the early hours of 24th December. The elderly man, a retired government employee, was staying alone at with wife at Jubille Hills. Venkat Rao, who was recently admitted to Apollo Hospitals due to an illness, succumbed to a heart attack at his residence. Almost all of the Telugu Film Industry came down to offer their condolences. Venkat Rao, survived by three sons and two daughters, also acted in a couple of movies including Mantrigari Viyyankudu. Actors Balakrishna, Brahmanandam and film makers Ragavendra Rao were the first to pay their respects. Other industry people who paid the tributes were Krishna, Venkatesh, Tarun, Prabhas, Krishnam Raju, Ravi Teja, R.Narayana Murthy, Rajendra Prasad, Satyanarayana, Rajamouli, Krishna Vamsi, Prabhu Deva, VV Vinayak, Trivikram, B Gopal, SV Krishna Reddy, Kodi Rama Krishna, D. Ramanaidu, C.Aswini Dutt, Chanti Addala, M Shyam Prasad Reddy, Bhogavalli Prasad, Tammareddy Bharadwaja, GVG Raju, Srinivasa Raju, Keeravani, Mehar Ramesh, SV Krishna Reddy, Trivikrama Rao, Sunil, Chandrabose.
